Amphibian night watch in Parque da Cidade

At the commemoration of the International Day for the Conservation of Amphibians, the event "Field Departure for Amphibian Observation" will be held in Parque da Cidade do Porto, on April 27.

The activity proves the richness of the existing biodiversity in the park, the green heart of our city. According to the organization, the main goal is "to conserve this group of mysterious animals and to promote the exploitation and usufruct of urban green areas".

Held by Centro de Monitorização e Interpretação Ambiental de Matosinhos, during this visit, participants will get to know the importance of amphibian pools and the varied quantity of these species, as well as learning how to identify them.

It will be held at night, it is intended for public in general and there are no age limitations. It has a cost of 5 euros, with a minimum and maximum number of participants, 10 and 25, respectively.
