The concert that celebrates the arrival of spring will takes place in the Coliseu do Porto on April 21 at 21.30. It will bring together the Choir of Letters of the University of Porto and the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa.
The maestro José Luís Borges Coelho will direct the choir, as it has done since 1966, being one of the founders of the Choir. In turn, the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa will be conducted by maestro Pedro Amaral. In the piano will be the soloist graduated by the Royal College of Music, Inês Costa.
As mentioned in the poster, the two compositions will be Mozart's "Concerto for Piano No. 21 in C major, KV 467" and Franz Liszt's "Symphony for the Divine Comedy, S. 109". It will also be remembered an eighteenth-century piano concerto that became famous in cinema. The second stage of Mozart's Concerto No. 21 is highlighted in the film "Elvira Madigan", performed by the Swedish Bo Widerberg in 1967.
Prices vary between 20 (2nd audience) and 120 euros (for cabins and several places), with discounts for children and the elderly, music students and "Friends of the Coliseum".
