By José Volta - abril 21, 2018

Porto hosts the International Green Infrastructure Conference on May 24 and 25 to discuss the sustainability of cities in harmony with nature.

Porto will host the first International Green Infrastructure Conference 2018 (IGIC). At the Almeida Garrett Library, in the Palácio de Cristal gardens. 16 speakers of numerous areas and nacionalities will discuss the sustainability of inner city areas and debate ideas and solutions based on what happens in nature.

IGIC will count with professionals and specialists in areas such as landscape architecture, geology or agronomy, to talk about ideas, projects and research results related to Green Infrastructures.
This is one of the various initiatives that Porto's City Hall has been fostering on behalf of the citie's sustainability and the increase of the number of green spaces. In March, we at NaturPorto reported "THE FUTURE - project of the 100.000 trees of the Metropolitan Area of Porto", one of the many projects promoted by the Municipality of Porto.

Ecologic sustainability of the city of Porto is a big concern to Porto's City Hall. The roof of Trindade's Station and the Clérigo's garden are perfect examples of that. Stay tuned to NaturPorto
