The Map Turtle, also known as Graptemys, are aquatic and can be found throughout the eastern and northern parts of the United States, as well as southern Canada. We can identify this turtle by the fact that the keel extends longitudinally along the carapace. It has a life expectancy of about 15 to 30 years and is relatively small when compared to other species.

The Red-bellied Turtles, or Pseudemys nelsoni, inhabit North America. They need a large space to live and sexual dimorphism is presented through the size of the tail. The carapace is black with yellow or red marks. It is relatively flat.
On the other hand the Cobra Neck Turtles Argentina, or Cobra Neck Snakes, are known for their long neck, similar to a snake. Mostly of the females are wider than the male and have a longer tail. They come from Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Brazil.

All turtle species lay eggs on dry land. The incubation temperature of some types determines the sex of the baby. When the young turtle is about to be born, the mother uses a special scale to free it.
