Fauna's enchant: The peacocks of Palácio de Cristal

The exuberant animals that walk around Palácio de Cristal, one of Porto's most famous tourist attractions by its natural beauty, are the Peacock-Indian species, also known as Common Peacock or Blue Peacock.

The male specimens present a blue neck and long feathers on the tail. On the other hand, the female specimens have a greenish neck and a gray feather body. Therefore, the peacock is an animal that has accentuated sexual dimorphism.

Their diet is composed of fruits, seeds and even small reptiles. They usually sleep on top of the trees and are an attraction beyond the Palácio the Cristal.
