Do you want to go for a day out, but don´t know where? The Serralves Park is one of the biggest biodiversity in Porto! The Flora has 230 species cataloged by now, among them, native and exotic ones.

Among the autochthonous species in danger of extinction that can be found in the park, there is the yew, also known as taxus baccata l. Its natural habitat is woods in mountainous and steep regions.

Pine tree, also known as maritime pine or the landes, are cylindrical trees, with height of 30 to 40 meters with maturation of the pine nut fruit in late summer. It originates from Europe (mediterranean region) and Asia. The meek pine, also known as pine-parasol, has a well developed root, and can reach up to 30 meters in height.

Besides knowing the flora by visiting the park, all 230 species are cataloged and divided by their taxonomy, biological characteristics, types of fruit and much more in the site of the Serralves park .If you want to go deeper on the research, the fauna was also listed on the same platform, a project carried out by the University of Aveiro in partnership with CIBIO-InBIO.
